Community is invited to the 18th Annual Fall Student Research Symposium

The community is invited to the 18th Annual Fall Student Research Symposium from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Sept. 25, in UVI Sports and Fitness Center on the St. Thomas Campus.

The UVI Annual Fall Student Research Symposium is hosted by the ECS Program and will showcase student research with faculty at the University of the Virgin Islands, as well as at other mainland institutions in STEM disciplines including biology, genetics, marine biology, chemistry, education, computer science, technology, physics, astronomy, engineering, and mathematics.

Students will be presenting scientific posters to display the results of their summer research projects conducted at UVI and other institutions including the State University of New Jersey, Boston University, University of Missouri, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, University of Georgia, Florida International University, Columbia University, Brookhaven National Laboratory, University of Iowa, Michigan State University, Johns Hopkins, Scripps Institution of Oceanography, New York University, University of Massachusetts – Amherst, Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, and University of Oregon. The event is free and open to the public. The community is encouraged to attend to support our students and learn more about research opportunities available at UVI.
