As the territory continues to explore alternative sources of energy to combat the high cost of electricity, the University of the Virgin Islands (UVI) is doing its part to make sure the local workforce is poised to meet the growing needs of the industry.
UVI, through its Caribbean Green Technology Center (CGTC), will be offering an entry-level program designed specifically for individuals who are interested in the green and renewable energy field. The North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners (NABCEP) Entry-Level Photovoltaic Program (PV) will be offered from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Jan. 26-30, at the UVICELL Center on the St. Thomas Campus. A news release is available from the Media section of the UVI website - http://www.uvi.edu – and from this direct link.
