UVI Supports Domestic Violence Awareness Month on Oct. 5 with Trivia, ribbons and letters

Domestic Violence Trivia, purple ribbons and special messages are just a few of the ways UVI students are being asked to commemorate Domestic Violence Awareness Month. Students are asked to stop by the Domestic Violence information table between 11a.m. to 2 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 5, in the Dining Pavilion on the St. Thomas Campus. Students are invited to play the Domestic Violence Trivia Game, collect a purple ribbon, and write a message in support of the survivors or against Domestic Violence.

There will also be a fundraising drive for the Family Resource Center (FRC), which supports Domestic Violence survivors. Cash donation can be made at Domestic Violence information tables set-up on campus throughout October. All donations will be given to the FRC at the end of the month. For additional information contact Dahlia Stridiron at (340) 693-1136.
