Applications are being accepted for the 2014 Entrepreneur Business Institute (EBI), a free, three-week summer residency program for Virgin Islands high school students at the University of the Virgin Islands St. Thomas campus. Sponsored by International Capital & Management Company (ICMC) and hosted by UVI's School of Business, EBI is designed to promote entrepreneurship in the Virgin Islands. The Entrepreneur Business Institute invites students to expand their horizons by providing a comprehensive overview of business development from distinguished UVI faculty members and ICMC corporate partners.
The program, for 10th, 11th and 12th graders, begins on June 21, and runs through July 11. It is designed to help students learn about the advantages and challenges of entrepreneurship, while providing insight into the college experience and campus life by fully immersing them in the college environment. The application deadline is May 23, and applications can be found on the ICMC Web site at: www.icmcvi.com. Details are available from Karen Nelson-Hughes at hughesk@icmcvi.com or by calling (340) 777-1302.
