UVI’s website allows members of the University community to actively join in the ongoing effort to promote University events and activities. The Events Calendar features an online “Submit An Event” form for directly posting information on University events and activities. A green button link to the form is featured at the top right of the Events Calendar – available from the “Events” link in the header of all UVI website pages and from this direct link http://events.uvi.edu. Please note the introductory information and fill in all required fields.
UVI departments are encouraged to update their webpages before Fall orientation. Additional web publishing trainings and working labs are available in August. Training topics include basic editing, uploading graphics and PDFs, cropping and resizing graphics, creating online submission forms, and accessing website traffic data.
Twenty new short URLs (domain names), which allow quick links to web sections or pages in the UVI site without needing to show lengthy URLs, are now available. (See list below.) These should be used in official publications, letterhead, email signatures, business cards, etc. A list of all available short URLs for the site can be found from the “About This Site” link included in the footer of all UVI website pages.
