A free lecture, digital media presentation and roundtable discussion on the "The Cultural Histories and Governance of the Dominican Republic and Influences in the Virgin Islands" is scheduled for 7 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday, March 12, in Suite 226 of the UVI Research and Technology Park on St. Croix, on UVI’s Albert A. Sheen Campus.
The lecture will be presented by Patrick Cawdette, an alumnus of Harvard and Brandeis universities. The event is designed as a celebration of Virgin Islands History Month and International Women's Month. It is hosted by UVI's Virgin Islands and Caribbean Cultural Center. Center Director Dr. Chenzira Davis Kahina will moderate the roundtable discussion.
