The Virgin Islands Small Business Development Center VISBDC will host a seminar on “Business Solutions to Common Problems” from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 21, at the SBDC’s Nisky Center Office on St. Thomas. The seminar is designed to provide small business owners with best practices and tools that help businesses to grow and succeed. Seminar participants will have an opportunity to network and share their own best practices and solutions. The goal will be to help businesses grow revenue and reduce overhead. Topics to be covered include: management solutions that drive revenue, manage costs and saves money, marketing solutions such as customer loyalty programs and online stores, loss prevention solutions, and payment solutions such credit and checks that save money and reduce fraud. The presenter will be Dr. Sharon Simmons, an entrepreneurship and economic opportunity consultant.
