“Love Your Self Be Drug Free” is the theme for the annual anti-violence and alcohol and drug abuse Red Ribbon promotion scheduled on UVI’s Albert A. Sheen Campus on St. Croix. Activities are slated from Monday, Oct. 27, through Thursday, Oct. 30. They are sponsored by UVI’s Division of Student Affairs and the Health Services Office.
A march, led by Pulse Drum Core, from the Educational Complex stop light to the UVI cafeteria kicks off the activity at 6 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 27. Pledge signing and an overview of the week’s activities will follow the march. Other activities during the week include:
- Tuesday, Oct. 28
8 a.m. – Outreach at Alfredo Andrews Elementary School
11 a.m. to 2 p.m. – Pledge to be Drug Free in Front the Cafeteria
11 a.m. to 4 p.m. – HIV testing; Blood drive by JFL Hospital in front the cafeteria
- Wednesday, Oct. 29
9 a.m. to 2 – Drugs, Alcohol and Violence Free Day.
All seventh graders from all junior high schools are invited.
11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. – Jeopardy in the Cafeteria and SGA NICE
11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. – UVI Substance Abuse & HIV/AIDS Prevention Program in Cafeteria
11 a.m. to 4 p.m. – Blood drive by JFL Hospital in front the cafeteria

8 a.m. to 11 a.m. – Outreach at Happy Children Preschool & Georges Christian Academy
11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. – Pledge to be Drug Free in front the Cafeteria
11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. – “Speak Out on Drugs” in front the Cafeteria
