Reichhold Center to Host Songwriters Show ‘Hitmakers & Rum Chasers’ on July 19

UVI’s Reichhold Center for the Arts will host the third installment of the seasonal songwriters series “Hit Makers & Rum Chasers” in a 7:30 p.m. show on Saturday, July 19. The series is a production of Nashville-based 343 Agency, a tour promotion and event marketing company. The St. Thomas program will feature modern country songwriters Marti Frederiksen, Paul Jenkins and Danny Myrick.

Frederiksen, an award winning songwriter and producer, has worked with Aerosmith, Def Leppard, Mick Jagger, Sheryl Crowe, Pink and Eminem. His hits include Ozzy Osbourne’s “Dreamer,” “Love Remains the Same” by Gavin Rossdale, Carrie Underwood’s “Undo It” and “Mama’s Song,” and “Crawling Back to You” by Daughtry. Jenkins is a Grammy nominated songwriter, whose compositions have sold in excess of 10 million copies. His songwriting credits include Blake Shelton's “Over,” Thompson Square's “If I Didn't Have You,” and Jason Aldean's smash hit “Don't You Wanna Stay,” a duet with Kelly Clarkson. Myrick’s songs have been recorded by artists Gloriana, Big and Rich, Montgomery Gentry and Joe Cocker. His hits include Craig Morgan’s “International Harvester,” and 2009s most played country song, “She’s Country,” by Jason Aldean. In 2011 and 2012, Myrick enjoyed radio success with Chris Cagle’s “I Got My Country On,” and Tim McGraw’s “Truck Yeah." More on the artists is available online at http://www.343agency.com/.
