Free Seminar on Invasive Sea Species Scheduled at UVI on April 10

 A free seminar titled "The Ecology and Management of Invasive Species in the Sea" will be presented by Dr. Stephanie Green, the David H. Smith Conservation Research Fellow at Oregon State University, at UVI from 1 to 2 p.m. on Thursday, April 10. The seminar will be presented in Evans Center Room 401 on the Albert A. Sheen Campus on St. Croix. It will also be available via videoconference in Business Room 101 on the St. Thomas Campus. All UVI students, faculty, and staff, as well as interested members of the Virgin Islands community are invited to attend.

The seminar will focus on the unique challenges the ocean environment poses for controlling the spread of invasive species. The newest research done on the feeding ecology, behavior and reproduction of lionfish will be featured.
