The general public is invited to a public viewing at UVI’s Etelman Observatory using the Virgin Islands Robotic Telescope (VIRT) from 7 to 10 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 21. Guests will be treated to views of deep sky objects under a dark, moonless sky. The evening will also feature a video presentation and lecture describing the past, present, and future of space exploration.
Anticipated sights include: Mars, Globular Clusters, the Andromeda Galaxy and the Ring Nebula. There will also be a discussion of interesting and exciting topics in the world of Astrophysics and Space Science." This event is presented free of charge by UVI’s College of Science and Mathematics.
