Two, free food and nutrition classes will be offered to interested persons on St. Thomas by UVI’s Cooperative Extension Service (CES). Organized under the CES’s Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program, the classes will provide information for families and young people in the community. Participants will learn to make healthy, low-cost food choices, plan meals, make grocery lists effectively, cook easy and nutritious and delicious meals, and understand the nutritional value of food. Classes begin on Tuesday, March 11, and Wednesday, March 12. Both classes will meet once-a-week for eight weeks. All classes will meet from 12:15 to 1:15 p.m. in the CES’s New House Building, just past the Security Office, on the St. Thomas Campus.
