The public is invited to a forum on the medical uses of cannabis scheduled for 5:30 to 9 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 6, in the Administration and Conference Center on UVI’s St. Thomas Campus. Hosted by Senator Terrence Nelson at the University of the Virgin Islands, the forum is titled “Medical Cannabis: A Discussion with Health Care Professionals.” It is designed to reveal the truth about the medical benefits that can be gained from the cannabis plant. A panel of six health care professionals will discuss their positions regarding the use of cannabis/marijuana as a medicine and how it can be prescribed.
