"Agriculture - We've Always Been Green" is the official theme of the 43rd annual Agriculture and Food Fair of the U.S. Virgin Islands. The fun, games and learning will run from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 14 through Monday, Feb. 17, at the Oscar E. Henry Memorial Fairgrounds on St. Croix. The fair mix will include crop and animal exhibits, a farmers market with plants, fruits and more for purchase. A Hat Parade and Competition is slated for just after Saturday's opening ceremony. Dumb bread competition along with an Ag Olympics and mini rodeo are some highlights planned for Sunday afternoon.
Entertainment will include an old time calypso show with a tribute to the Mighty Sparrow, the St. Croix road march champs Stylee Band, St. Thomas's Reunited, and a Grand Quadrille Dance with the St. Croix Heritage Dancers and Stanley and the Ten Sleepless Knights. Admission will be $6 for adults, $4 for seniors and $3 for children. the Agriculture and Food Fair is sponsored by the V.I.
