American Sign Language classes will be offered in September on St. Thomas and St. Croix by the Virgin Islands University Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities (VIUCEDD) at UVI. Level I and II courses will run from Sept. 9 to Nov. 14 on both islands. Level I courses will take place on Mondays and Wednesdays, while Level II courses are offered on Tuesdays and Thursdays. All courses run from 5:30 to 7:15 p.m. The St. Thomas classroom location is Teacher Education Room 114. On St. Croix, the course location is the VIUCEDD Office at #1 Golden Grove.
The cost is $150 per course. Registration and payment is available online at http://asl.viucedd.org. In person registration and payment is available on St. Thomas in the Teacher Education Building on Wednesdays from noon to 2 p.m. In-person registration and payment is available from Monday through Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the VIUCEDD office at #1 Golden Grove.
