UVI to Sign Solar Power Purchase Agreement, Public Invited to Ceremony
The University of the Virgin Islands will officially launch the University’s solar energy initiative the Three Mega Watts Solar Project. A solar power purchase agreement signing ceremony with UVI and New Generation Power USVI will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, July 30, on the St. Thomas Campus opposite of Penha House. The solar project is a part of UVI’s Pathways to Greatness Strategic Plan. The University’s partnership with New Generation Power will provide renewable energy solutions and reduce UVI’s dependence on fossil fuels.
