UVI's St. Thomas Chapter of the Golden Key International Honour Society has achieved "Gold Standing" and has received the organization's Key Chapter Award for the 2012-2013 academic year, according to Chapter President Makiijah Crabbe. The Key Chapter Award is one of Golden Key’s most esteemed honors, according to the international organization's Golden Key's Blog. Chapters so honored "have gone above and beyond" the requirements of simply achieving gold standing. Only about one quarter of the organizations more than 100 chapters receive the Key Chapter Award. A complete list of other Golden Key chapters receiving the award is available from this direct link: http://goldenkeyhq.wordpress.com/2013/08/20/north-america-key-chapter-award-winners.
Golden Key International also recently announced that Dahlia Stridiron, co-advisor for the St. Thomas Chapter of the SGA, has been awarded the organization’s Regional Advisor of the Year Award for 2012-2013.
