The University of the Virgin Islands’ Foundation for the Reichhold Center for the Arts is hosting the first “Show of Support Telethon” to celebrate the center’s 35th Anniversary. The telethon features a variety of local entertainment and more than 20 testimonials from long-time Reichhold Center fans and supporters. It began airing on Fox and NBC on Nov. 16, and will be repeated until January. Air times on FOX over the next few weeks are as follows: Saturday, Nov. 23 – 2 to 4 p.m.; Saturday, Nov. 30 – 2 to 4 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 7 – 2 to 4 p.m. and Sunday, Dec. 8 – 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
On tap are performances from Spectrum Band, the Rising Stars Steel Orchestra, the VI Philharmonic, Flights of Fire, the French Academy of Performing Arts and the Becca Darling Band. Long-time Reichhold Center supporters, Attorney Leigh Goldman and Deputy Commissioner of Tourism Chantal Figueroa will host the affair.
