Dr. Min Ji, the Fulbright Scholar-in-Residence at Northern Virginia Community College, will make a presentation as part of UVI's Open Door Lecture Series, from 5:30 to 8 p.m., on Wednesday, Nov. 20, in North West Wing Room 103 on the Albert A. Sheen Campus on St. Croix. The session will also be available via videoconference in West Hall Seminar Suite on the St. Thomas Campus. Members of the University Community are invited to participate.
Dr. Ji is a professor of English at Sichuan Normal University in China, where she also directs the school's Center of Women's Studies. Her lecture topic will be Mosuo Minority Tradition: Matriarchal Culture - Folklore and Geographical Attraction.” While visiting, Dr. Ji will also lecturing to and visiting in several UVI classes.
