Officer Theodore Glasford Named Acting Chief of Security for the St. Thomas Campus

UVI Security Officer Theodore Glasford has been named Acting Chief of Security for the University's St. Thomas Campus, effective Aug. 31. Vice President for Administration and Finance/CFO Shirley Lake-King, who made the appointment, said Officer Glasford has been an integral part of the UVI family since September of 2005, when he was hired as Security Officer I. He has served under the leadership of several security chiefs and most recently with out-going Chief of Security Roderick Pullen. He was promoted to a supervisory position within two years of his employment. In 2009, Officer Glasford obtained Peace Officer status from the Virgin Islands Police Department Training Academy. Prior to relocating to the Virgin Islands, Officer Glasford served as a law enforcement officer with the government of St. Kitts/Nevis for more than fifteen years.
