UVI's Community Engagement and Lifelong Learning (CELL) Center is responding to concerns expressed by business owners and consumers about the level of customer service in the territory by launching a four-part monthly customer service program. Participants who complete all four parts of the program will earn a Certificate in Customer Service Excellence.
The first course in the series is “Customer Service Essentials.” Classes will be held on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at the UVICELL Center on the St. Thomas campus from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. from Nov. 18, through Nov. 22. Participants will learn the importance of prompt responses, ensuring that customer’s requirements are successfully met, barriers to service excellence, how to keep customers coming back, measuring service and much more.
Other courses in the series include: Resolving Customer Dilemmas, offered in December; Delivering Effective Phone Service, offered in January; and Communication – Choosing the Best Script, offered in February.
