Members of the media are invited to cover the second President for a Day role-reversal recap. UVI President Dr. David Hall and UVI business major Sheena Tonge will share their role-reversal experiences with the UVI community from 2 to 3:30 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 25, in room 103 of the North West Wing on the Albert A. Sheen Campus on St. Croix. The event will be video conferenced to the Neil Weiss Education and Seminar Suite in West Residence Hall on St. Thomas.
On Oct. 30, Tonge served as president of the University, while Dr. Hall took on the role of a student. Tonge, a student on the Sheen Campus, was the winner of UVI’s second President for a Day initiative. It is designed to offer students a unique professional development experience and insight into the realities of running a university, and to give the institution’s top administrator a better understanding of the student experience.
As UVI president, Tonge’s day included meetings with the Student Government Association (SGA), UVI Board of Trustees chairman and the St. Croix Presidential Advisory Committee. Dr. Hall spent his day in SGA meetings, and a Business Strategy and Public Policy class. Dr. Hall also participated in ‘Iron Man,’ and attended ‘Midnight Madness.”
