Eighth UVI Summer Band Camp Set June 24 to July 26; Application Deadline June 14
The eighth annual UVI Summer Band Camp is scheduled for June 24 through July 26 on the University's St. Thomas Campus. Retired UVI Professor Austin A. Venzen, the camp director, said the camp is open to junior high and senior high school music or band students ages 12 to 17. The camp is not for beginners. Band teachers from the territory's public, private and parochial schools mainly recommend students who should attend. The camp fee is $400, with a $75 application.
