10th Voices That Count Conference Set by VIUCEDD St. Thomas, St. Croix

The Virgin Islands University Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities (VIUCEDD) will be host the 10th annual Voices That Count conference entitled “Promoting Inclusion, Dignity and Equality,” with sessions in late October on St. Thomas and St. Croix. During the conference, people with disabilities and their families, along with concerned community members will have the opportunity to interact with elected officials and representatives of government agencies to discuss issues that affect them and to promote systemic change.

Voices That Count will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 29, at the UVI Administration and Conference Center on St. Thomas. The St. Croix session will follow on Thursday, Oct. 31, in the Great Hall on UVI’s Albert A. Sheen Campus. Both sessions will run from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. There is no fee for the event, but space is limited and registration is required. To register online visit: http://events.viucedd.org.
