Mrs. Towal holds two Master’s Degrees- Master of Education in Guidance and Counseling from the Texas State University in San Marcos, Texas and Master of Education from the University of Texas, Austin. She also earned a Bachelor of Science in Education from the University of Texas, Austin.

In her educational career she has taught special education, early childhood education, pre-school program for children with disabilities, and has served as elementary and secondary school counselor. She has also worked as a Special Education Secondary Counselor. Mrs. Towal has worked on state level commissions, held offices in various education and community groups and offered training and presentations throughout her career. She is trained as a Trauma and Loss specialist and served as the head counselor for a summer counseling program for bereaved children. Mrs. Towal is also a Licensed Professional Counselor. She has seen private clients of all ages and counseled families in the Family Preservation Unit of the Child and Protective Services in Texas.

Mrs. Towal is a proud Texan who recently realized her long-held dream of living in the Virgin Islands. Her goals at the University revolve around helping each student realize their maximum potential. She truly believes ‘if you can dream it; you can achieve it.”
