I have founded nine small businesses and remain majority owner of two of these; accounting and consulting and commercial property. My business start-ups include diverse fields such as manufacturing, accounting and consulting, mechanical contracting, intellectual property, outsource management and commercial real estate.

At UVI I have served as Director of Entrepreneurship Education, Chair of Management Marketing and Decision Science, Chair of Information Systems and Decision Science, Director of Experiential Entrepreneurship Education, and Chair of Professional Studies.

I hold two patents and have published one book (When Government Doesn't Work Anymore: Perpetual Monopoly and the Losers Paradox).

I also hold a professional certification (CEF) in electro-plating from the American Electro-platers Society.

Fun Facts:

My additional interests include sailing, backpacking, diving and adventuring of various sorts. I hold a USCG 100 ton Master Captain license with several endorsements including Great Lakes and Inland, Near Coastal, Sail and Power, STCW95, and Crisis Management.

I hold an open water dive card and enjoy diving in the area.
