- Provost - The Provost, serves as the Chief Academic Officer, is an officer of the University, a member of the President's Cabinet and reports directly to the President. The Provost is responsible for the academic affairs of the institution, to include Access and Enrollment Services; Research and Public Service; five academic schools, namely: School of Business, School of Education, School of Nursing, College of Science & Mathematics, and College of Liberal Arts & Social Sciences; the University Honors Program; the Office of Institutional Research and Planning; the Office of Global and Graduate Education; the Virgin Islands University Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities; Community Engagement and Lifelong Learning, a workforce training unit; Student Success and Athletics. Working closely with senior leadership and the faculty, the Provost leads and supports curriculum development and outcomes assessment, and faculty development. The Provost is also responsible for the management of the academic budget, is engaged in planning, policy formation and financial analysis, and serves as chief executive in the President's absence. With offices on both campuses, the Provost is expected to reside on St. Croix.

- Vice Provost Research & Public Service - The Vice Provost for Research and Public Service (VPRPS) is the principal assistant and advisor to the Provost of the University on all matters pertaining to the development and implementation of land grant, research and public service policies and programs. The VPRPS is responsible for providing leadership and management of research and public service programs at the University, including the Agricultural Experiment Station, the Center for Marine and Environmental Investigations, the Cooperative Extension Service, the Eastern Caribbean Center, the Office of the Vice Provost, the Research and Publications Unit, the Small Business Development Center, Sponsored Program and the Water Resources Research Institute. The VPRPS will also ensure that the vision, mission and goals of the Research and Public Service programs support the mission of the University by reviewing and approving unit plans, goals and objectives, strategic plans, and systems for effective control to guide work toward expected outcomes, and by evaluating progress towards their accomplishments; provide leadership on complex budgetary and personnel issues that allow for research and public service quality of outputs and activities of the University; provide support, leadership and encouragement for development of collaborations and partnerships that result in income generation for the University; and ensure quality outreach to the Virgin Islands community and other publics by promoting and supporting quality management approaches in the implementation of policies and programs that provide for research and public service needs, including, organizing systems for advisory boards and councils; provide feedback and the necessary tools for subordinates to fulfill the mission. Additional duties include advising the Provost, and senior University administrative officers on issues relating to research and public service by making presentations, preparing reports, recommendations, findings and other methods of communication as required; establishing research and public service priorities; and creating and overseeing budgets and the allocation of resources to the various research and public service units.

- Vice Provost Access & Enrollment - The Vice Provost for Access and Enrollment Services (ACES) represents the Provost in a variety of administrative and managerial functions as assigned by the Provost; oversees the administration of the offices of the Registrar, Admission, Financial Aid and Recruitment; serves as the primary contact with Human Resources for all human relations issues between ACES and the Office of the Provost; and coordinates with other University committees which handle retention and recruitment of students. In addition, the Vice Provost for Access and Enrollment Services is responsible for compliance with academic policies pertaining to admission and graduation requirements; oversees the professional development and annual evaluation of the staff of ACES; serves on internal and external Admissions and Recruitment field teams; and is responsible for implementing UVI Vision 2012 Access and Enrollment Service Plan 2006-2009. The Vice Provost for Access and Enrollment Services also develops strategies for University wide involvement in recruitment and retention initiatives; and develops strategies for implementing programs abroad.

- Vice President Administration & Finance - The Vice President of Administration and Finance (A&F), under the direction of the President, serves as chief financial officer providing fiscal and administrative leadership to a team of directors and managers who are responsible for the daily operations of the finance, accounting and purchasing, benefits, capital projects, and human resources departments and oversight of the environmental health and safety department; oversees and evaluates a complex and diverse program of business functions, and develops and implements financial policies and practices. The Vice President of Administration and Finance is also responsible for managing the University's resources to facilitate and support the strategic plan and sustainable budget; develops and oversees all fiscal planning, policies, and regulations; fiscal administration of all institutional funds; and the cost of effective planning and operations of the University's major administrative functions. In addition, the Vice President of Administration and Finance provides leadership in the area of finance including investments, management of budget development, executing processes, and fiscal controls. The Vice President of Administration and Finance also serves as the administration's liaison to the Board of Trustees' Finance Committee and the Building and Grounds Committee; to external financial institutions; and to government and business organizations.

- Vice President Institutional Advancement - The Vice President for Institutional Advancement (IA) serves as a member of the President's Cabinet and provides leadership for the Office of Institutional Advancement and its associated areas. The Vice President has direct oversight for alumni relations, annual giving, major gifts, public relations and the Reichhold Center for the Arts and is charged with leading and managing these areas. The Vice President will foster relationships with internal and external stakeholders and develop innovative methods to meet University objectives stated in the UVI Strategic Plan and the President's Seven Management Values. The Vice President serves as the University's primary fundraiser, and participates on a variety of institution wide committees. The Vice President plays a pivotal role in enhancing the cultivation of alumni relationships. The Vice President will also champion the planning and execution of the University's capital campaign efforts.

Vice President for Information Systems and Assessment - The Vice President for Information System and Assessment reports directly to the President. The position is accountable for providing the managerial and technological leadership for the University's Information and Technology Services which includes the libraries, distance learning, and learning and classroom environment. The Vice President is also responsible for providing leadership to the administrative assessment processes throughout the University, including the strategic plan goals and the Key Performance Indicators. This includes managing the Institutional Research unit. In regards to information systems, the position is responsible for identifying and communicating the technology implications for the strategic plan and anticipates chance and emerging trends in information technology, library science and communication as they apply to the mission and goals of the University. The Vice President for Information Systems and Assessment is a member of the President's Cabinet and responsible for providing administrative support to the Institutional Effectiveness and Assessment Advisory Boards. Major areas of responsibility include strategic planning, policy development, integrated implementation and management of infrastructure, systems and human and fiscal resources, staff leadership and development, project management leadership and user support systems.

Vice President for Business Development and Innovation - The Vice President of Business Development and Innovation reports to the President as a member of the President's Cabinet and will have both leadership and administrative responsibilities for exploring, developing and implementing revenue generating opportunities for the University. An agreed upon number of new business ventures will be launched each year. The Vice President will provide oversight to the Institute for Leadership and Organizational Effectiveness and ensure that this revenue producing entity expands and become the premier consulting and training entity for government and academic institutions in the Caribbean. The Vice President will work closely with senior administrators throughout the University to cultivate business and innovative initiatives related to their perspective areas. Working with the President and the CFO, the Vice President will oversee an entrepreneurship fund which will invest in potential revenue generating activities and develop revenue sharing models. The Vice President will also serve as Executive Director of the Foundation of the University of the Virgin Islands, and carry out other special projects assigned by the President.

Director of Presidential Operations - The Director of Presidential Operations is responsible for the administrative operation of the Office of the President and is a member of the President’s Cabinet. The Director works with the President to establish and maintain close working relationships with the University's senior administration, and act on behalf of the President on appropriate assigned administrative and operational matters. Responsible for meetings, agendas, and follow ups for the President's Cabinet, assisting the President in making special requests and assigning tasks to the senior administration, monitoring important University projects and issues for the President, and developing presentations and policy communications for the President. Works closely and cooperatively with the President on all administrative and policy matters which impact the effectiveness of the President. The Director of Presidential Operations will manage and review the budget operations of the Office and improve the work product of the President's Office through the development and implementation of effective policies, procedures and systems, handle special projects, and all other duties as assigned by the President. The Director will supervise the Administrative Specialist and student workers assigned to the Office of the President.

Dean of Students (St. Thomas Campus & Albert A. Sheen Campus) - The Dean of Students reports directly to the Provost and serves as a member of the President’s Cabinet. The Dean has oversight for the Division of Student Affairs personnel and programming, specifically: new student orientation programs, counseling & placement, student employment, health services, student governance, student leadership development, student activities, residence life, food services, student discipline/judicial affairs and services for students with special needs.

Director of Campus Operations - The Director of Campus Operations reports directly to the Vice President of Administration and Finance and serves as a member of the President’s Cabinet. The Director is involved in the design and implementation of campus based capital projects and oversee the management for all business and facilities services for the St. Croix Campus. Responsible for the Campus Bookstore, campus security, physical plant operations, facilities renovations, custodial (housekeeping) and grounds operations, utilities, transportation services and emergency preparedness. In charge of planning, budgeting and management of business services, mailroom, and facilities management on the St. Croix Campus.
